Feit Electric's full spectrum high bay LED 14 inch grow light uses 80 watt and comes fully assembled that can be hung over plants to simulate sunlight (greenhouse) for vegetative/early growth period. This no-humming LED emits precise wavelengths and color for superior photosynthetic response in the 450 nm blue spectrum preferred for vegetative growth. There are no lamps to dispose of or replace with this 14 inch high bay lamp with its cool operation that prevents burning of leaves compared to high pressure sodium lamps. Includes two triangle hanging harnesses, a 5 foot plug-in cord and easy on/off light switch. Durable smooth edge housing and light weight design facilitates the installation process.

Turn your LED grow light on for 18 hours a day to mimic the photoperiod in the long summer days, and leave them off for 6 hours, for optimal vegetative growth. When you start to see pre-flowers forming, this means that the plants are ready to go into the flowering stage. Induce flowering when the plants are ready, but switching your light cycle to 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness and 12 hours of light. This way you can finely control the light your plants receive, and sustain positive growth.

This fixture emits spectrum wavelengths and color for photosynthetic response. It also has a low heat emission and low energy consumption, and emits light between the deired 450nm blue spectrum.

The Feit Electric full spectrum and hydroponic lights can be either hung of flush mounted (except 82W Full Spectrum high bay) above the plant. For optimal light absorption of flowering and budding plants, it is recommended to hang of flush mount the full spectrum lights above the plants and mount/position the hydroponic lights shining inward on either side of the plants.

Plant types are generally categorized into high or low light level plants. The PAR value of a plant light equates to the amount of light energy that the plant can absorb. The higher the PAR, the more vegetative or flowering growth can be facilitated. High light plants include: tomatoes, peppers, and perennials. Low light plants include: herbs and leafy greens such as basil and lettuces.
