Greenway Biotech calcium nitrate fertilizers is in granular form, which are highly efficient sources of available calcium and nitrogen for plants under all growth conditions. It has to be continuously supplied throughout the growth season to keep adequate levels in the plant tissues and to ensure proper development. The nitrate-nitrogen in calcium nitrate is readily absorbed by the plant and improves the efficiency of calcium uptake.

Calcium nitrate fertilizer is a water-soluble solution that provides plants with supplemental calcium and nitrogen. These elements are the physiological building blocks for strong and growth of plants.

Calcium Nitrate is a colorless anhydrous salt and when combined with ammonium nitrate forms Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) used majorly as a fertilizer and also in cold packs. It is among the few fertilizers that are hygroscopic. Calcium Ammonium Nitrate is used as a nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture especially in acid soils for its mode of action is acidifying soils.

It is made up of 15.5% Nitrogen and 19% Calcium. Calcium Nitrate fertilizer enhances plants photosynthesis, reduces the soil acidity thus promoting the development of microorganisms in the soil that aid in the nitrogen fixation.

Calcium Nitrate fertilizer helps plants like tomato and apple produce healthy fruits and is largely used in hydroponics growers who use it to dilute it into feeding tubes to nourish plants growing in water indoors.

Apply 1 pound of Calcium Nitrate per 100 feet of row (1 cup per 50 feet of row or 1 level tablespoon per plant) directly to the soil.

Mix the Calcium Nitrate fertilizer into the soil.

Water plants thoroughly after application.

Dissolve 2-4 tablespoons of Calcium Nitrate fertilizer into 1 gallon of water.

Spray the Calcium Nitrate fertilizer solution onto the plants approximately 6-8 inches from the leaves.

Note: Do not apply when temperatures outside exceed 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Note: We recommend applying fertilizer early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid burning plants

Water plants thoroughly after application.

Note: Depending on the quality of the soil and which stage the plants are in, the amounts and frequency vary.

Apply 1-4 tablespoons of Calcium Nitrate fertilizer to your water reservoir.

For application rates addressing nutrient deficiencies, this depends on the number of your plants, your type of system and whether you're using additional fertilizers.
