Hydroponic principles have been blended with aeroponic design to suspend plant roots in air inside the tower. The ALTO GARDEN HX Aeroponic Tower carries over many of the features found in our popular GX model. Yes, it still comes with wheels! The HX Tower retains the wide-spaced pot design so plants can fully mature without cramping. The water gauge is still included, as well as the built-in timer for the grow lights. The tower structure has changed though. The newer HX model has 8 layers x 5 pots per layer vs. the GX model which has 6 layers x 4 pots per layer. As a result ? the HX Tower with lights is slightly taller (6’ 0” vs 5’ 6”) and the individual tower sections are slightly wider (10” vs 8”) than the GX model. The size of the reservoir tank has also increased from 10 gallons to 12 gallons, and there’s a stronger water pump for faster circulation.

To accommodate the additional plants, the grow lights on HX Aeroponic Tower have been redesigned to be 2x more powerful. The number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) have more than doubled, now with 168 light emitting diodes (LEDs) per arm for a total of 672 diodes (x4) for the entire tower. The lighting spectrum has also been adjusted to lean slightly more towards the higher end (red). These design tweaks have been laboratory tested to show improved rates of photosynthesis leading to faster and fuller yields. The lights are also adjustable ? keep the lights close during the seedling stage and move them further back as the plant grows.

You’ll find some additional items in the box to help your growing journey. 50 rockwool cubes are included, along with a four-head LED grow light for seedlings to kick start your seedlings into life. Our ALTO GARDEN germination grow light has been specifically designed to include 450nm blue light which fuels growth during the seedling stage. Plant food is also included in the form of A + B nutrients which are easy to add to your reservoir. Other items you’ll find are a digital pH test pen, a measuring cup, and a small bag of vermiculite to help your seed starting.
