Cascadia (Sugar type) edible pod peas are a snap pea with thick pod walls and sweet peas inside pods. Pods grow 3” long and are medium green with a sweet and crisp taste. Plants are 30” tall, and do not require stakes to grow upright. Directly sow seeds in full sun in the spring. After 60-70 days, pods are ready to be harvested off of the plant. They can be used fresh, canned, or frozen for storage. These peas are a great snack on their own and also are excellent in stir fry dishes and vegetable mixes.
